Position OverviewUltimate Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated Parts Specialist to join their client's team in Ohio. This role involves managing, sourcing, and maintaining the inventory of parts for emergency vehicles, including fire trucks and ambulances. The Parts Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring these vehicles are always equipped with the necessary components for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Responsibilities- Work closely with service technicians, customers, and vendors to ensure timely and efficient parts management.
- Assist service technicians and customers by identifying the correct parts for their needs.
- Address customer questions and concerns via phone, email, chat, or in person, providing accurate and timely information.
- Provide detailed information on product features, compatibility, and pricing.
- Handle special orders for custom parts and keep customers informed of order statuses.
- Update and maintain customer accounts and records, ensuring all interactions are documented accurately.
- Source parts needed for repairs and orders including for service, stock, and customer direct.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers and manufacturers.
- Coordinate with vendors on delivery timelines, warranty issues, and returns.
- Stay updated on new parts releases and technological advancements in emergency vehicle components.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in a parts or inventory management role, preferably in the automotive or emergency vehicle industry.
- Ability to read and interpret vehicle schematics, technical manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with technicians, customers, and vendors.
- Problem-solving skills to quickly address issues with parts orders or inventory discrepancies.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement.
ADA Requirements- Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently.
- Occasional repetitive motion and grasping.
- Occasional climbing to reach areas on equipment or racks.
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, more than 20 lbs. frequently.
- Typically sits, grasp items, and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer.
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may include moving mechanical parts.
Required Work HoursMonday - Friday, 1st shift BenefitsCompetitive pay ranging from $25 to $30 per hour based on experience.
